According to my own experience, Students in Translation seem to focus on the mental processes of language and how they can be related to meaning in different languages than on translation proper. Actually, this article tries to begin on a linguistic exploration of meaning and avoid any mentalistic talk on meaning as much as possible. The semantic field assumes that words are mirror reflecting the reality of all human experiences :past, present and future ones. Then sentences are moulded according to our own perception of the outside world. In order to perform a true translation, translator confines himself to observable facts using mental processes of language.
