Combien de fois sommes-nous laissés pris et transporter par les écrits de Tahar Ben Jelloun ? Non sans faire remarquer que les écrits de Ben Jelloun invitent tout lecteur à vivre et à revivre de belles aventures romanesques tant fascinantes sur leur plan discursif que passionnantes et, parfois, rêveuses sur leur plan narratif. Ne s’agit-il donc pas de cet Enfant de sable qui écrit avec une plume de sable sur une étendue de sable des mots vibrant une musique si lointaine et des histoires de mirags, emportant interminablement le lecteur assoiffé de petites gouttes d’eau ? Ne s’agit-il aussi pas de cette magie illusoire qui séduit le lecteur en l’enchantant dans l’emprise de l’écriture intertextuelle de Ben Jelloun ? How many times are we left caught and transported by the writings of Tahar Ben Jelloun? Not without pointing out that Ben Jelloun's writings invite all readers to live and relive beautiful romantic adventures that are as fascinating in their discursive plan as they are fascinating and, sometimes, dreamy in their narrative plan. So is it not this Sand Child who writes with a feather of sand on a stretch of sand words vibrating such distant music and stories of miracles, carrying away the reader thirsty endlessly for small drops of water? Isn't it also this illusory magic that seduces the reader by enchanting him in the grip of Ben Jelloun's intertextual writing? كم هي عدد المرات التي أخذتنا فيها كتابات طاهر بن جلون إلى أفق بعيدة المدى؟ لا تخلو الإشارة إلى أن كتابات بن جلون تدعو جميع القراء إلى العيش واستعادة مغامرات رومانسية جميلة رائعة في خطتهم الاستكشافية، كما هي رائعة وأحيانًا تقودنا إلى الحلم، بخطتهم السردية. ألا يتعلق الأمر بذلك الطفل، 'طفل الرمل' الذي يكتب بريشة من الرمل على امتداد كلمات الرمل، تهتز على إيقاع موسيقى بعيدة الصدى والمدى، وكذا قصص من السراب، تحمل القارئ المتعطش إلى ما لا نهاية لقطرات صغيرة من الماء؟
