الملخص
التواصل اللغوي عبر تطبيق وتس اب WhatsApp لدى السعوديين دراسة لغوية اجتماعية أسماء العتيبي ملخص الدراسة: تتناول هذه الدراسة التواصل اللغوي عبر تطبيق وتس اب (WhatsApp) لدى السعوديين؛ حيث يعد هذا التطبيق من أهم وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي وأكثرها انتشارا بين السعوديين. ولذلك فإن هذه الدراسة تهدف إلى معرفة طبيعة هذا التواصل من خلال دراسة أبرز وظائفه، وأشكاله اللغوية، وسياقاته الاجتماعية. وقد اعتمدت الدراسة على أداة الاستبانة التي تناولت ثلاثة محاور رئيسية، هي: وظائف التواصل اللغوي عبر تطبيق وتس اب WhatsApp لدى السعوديين، وأشكاله اللغوية، وسياقاته الاجتماعية. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج، من أهمها أن السعوديين يستخدمون العامية عند التواصل عبر (WhatsApp) بنسبة أعلى من استخدامهم للفصحى؛ وأن استخدامهم لأحد هذين المستويين دون الآخر يتوقف على طبيعة المحادثة ودرجة رسميتها، وأن فئة كبار السن يستخدمون الفصحى بنسبة أكبر من صغار السن. كما توصلت الدراسة إلى أن من أهم أشكال التواصل عبر(WhatsApp) استخدام الرموز والأيقونات التعبيرية، مثل الوجوه التعبيرية، وأنها تستخدم بشكل أكبر لدى فئة الطلاب وصغار السن. كما أظهرت الدراسة أن السعوديين يراعون انتقاء كلماتهم بما يتوافق مع الأعراف الاجتماعية، ويحاولون تحاشي استخدام الكلمات التي تعتبر من قبيل التابوهات الاجتماعية. Abstract: This study attempts to examine the use of WhatsApp communication among the Saudis from a sociolinguistic point of view. The study aims at investigating the nature of this communication through studying its most prominent functions, forms of language, and social contexts. The data were analyzed quantitatively, and categorized based on three main axes: the functions, linguistic forms and social contexts of the Saudi linguistic communication on WhatsApp. The results of the study revealed that the Saudis use slang language on WhatsApp at a higher rate than the standard language. It also found that the use of these two levels depends on the conversation and its formalization degree. However, the results showed that the older persons use the standard language more than the younger ones. The study has found that one of the most important forms of communication on WhatsApp is the use of emoticons, which are used more frequently among students and young people. Moreover, results showed how socio-cultural values affecting the way Suadis make certain language choices on WhatsApp, by avoiding any expressions that are considered social taboos.
