It should out of partiality be acknowledged that the heirs of one of the most glorious civilizations were the Andalusian Moors, who have, in turn, bequeathed a legacy that still attests to the demise of their hybrid cultural heritage during the 17th and 18th centuries. The Moorish manuscripts illustrate their civilizational conflict, their psychological turmoil, their ardent defence of their cultural identity, and their steadfast devotion to their Islamic faith. Hence, it can be argued that their legacy is the product of a spacio-temporal conflict in Spain between two distinct religions and civilizations.
