الملخص
Taha Abdulrahman is an Arab contemporary thinker; he is one of the Muslim philosophers that renew their reading of the Islamic legacy. He defended strongly the idea that made the Arab Islamic heritage as the fundamental element to protect the Identity. He tried to alienated Western modernity or the civilization of the word as he calls it, He enterprises for the establishment of an Islamic modernity stemming from the original Arabo-islamic heritage, He criticized the adaptation of tools, methods that have been adopted by some Arab thinkers, even created a rupture of knowledge between them and the heritage. In the other side the modernist readers of the Holy Qur'an, such as Muhammad Arkoun, Nasr Hamed Abu Zeid, Hassan Hanafi and others, were criticized and rejected by Taha Abdulrahman, but how did he treated the problem of modernity and originality of the reality and the challenges in the Islamic worlds?
