Design And Simulation Of Patch Antennas With Csrrs Units

Authors : Reddaf Abdelmalek .

Abstract

In this article, we design microstrip antennas with CSRRs (Complementary Split Ring Resonators) by creating a defective ground (Defected Ground Structure DGS). The proposed antenna was simulated with the FR4 substrate. The CSRRs units are designed to operate at 3.5 GHz. They are implanted on the ground of the antenna. In addition, theses units change the position and the number of frequency curves as well as the band width. The simulated results show that, the proposed antenna offers characteristics in terms of: gain, the bandwidth and multi bands of frequencies.
