Historiography In Mansoor Rahbani’s Abu Tayeb Al Mutanabbi And Zenobia

Abstract
The aim in this paper is to explore those aspects of historiography in Mansoor Rahbani’s Abu Al Tayeb Al Mutanabbi and Zenobia shedding light on Ibn Khaldun’s concept of the historian’s task. I also tend to investigate Mansoor’s aims in retelling the history of national icons living in Baghdad and the Levant. Striving to regain Arab Glory and independence through the means of solidarity are major themes in the two musical histories where poetry, song and Souk are significant techniques. The two historical plays demonstrate how human and social predicaments are generated by political constraints. يهدف هذا البحث الى تحديد معالم التخييل التاريخي في مسرحيتي أبو الطيب المتنبي (٢٠٠٢) و زنوبيا (٢٠٠٨) عند منصور الرحباني (١٩٢٥-٢٠٠٩) في ضوء تعريف مفهوم التخييل التاريخي مع الاستعانة بما ورد في مقدمة ابن خلدون (١٣٧٧) عن مهام المؤرخ. ويتناول هذا البحث بالدراسة أيضا أهداف منصور الرحباني في صياغة هذه المسرحيات الموسيقية التاريخية عن شخصيات شهيرة استوطنت كلا من بلاد الرافدين وبلاد الشام. تتمحور المسرحيتين حول موضوع استعادة مجد العروبة وموضوعات الاستقلال والتضامن العربي من خلال الموسيقى والأغنية والأسواق العامة. يوضح الكاتب المسرحي والموسيقار اللبناني منصور الرحباني أثر السياسية في تكوين الأزمات الإنسانية والاجتماعية.
