After a decade of the Arab Hirak, the region continues to degrade in terms of democracy and freedom, its countries are turning into hotbeds of tension that threaten world peace and security. It has become obvious that the resistance to democracy continues and what is needed is to find the reasons that prevent the Arab world from overcoming the fragile state and from making the transition to democratic systems of government, some of which date back to the difficult emergence of the state phenomenon and the various crises that followed it.
