أسباب ظاهرة عمالة الأطفال في مدينة القدس: الآثار والأبعاد

الملخص
هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى ظاهرة عمالة الأطفال في مدينة القدس، الأسباب الآثار والأبعاد، والوقوف على أكثر العوامل التي تتنبأ بعمالة الأطفال وفقًا لمتغيرات: النوع الاجتماعي، ومكان السكن. وطبقت الدراسة على عينة عشوائية مؤلفة من (189) من العاملين بالمدارس، (114) ولي أمر، و(461) طفلا، ووصف النتائج كمياً وكيفياً من خلال مقابلات فردية وجماعية وحلقات بؤرية. وأشارت النتائج إلى أن الصعوبات الاقتصادية في مدينة القدس التي تقف خلفها سياسات الاحتلال تجبر المئات من الطلاب للعمل والمساهمة في اقتصاد الأسرة. وأكثر العوامل التي تتنبأ بعمالة الأطفال هي (عدم جدوى التعليم في الحياة المستقبلية)، وباستخدام التحليل العاملي قسمت أسباب عمالة الأطفال إلى: أسباب تتعلق بذات الطالب/ة، وأسباب تتعلق بالمدرسة، وأسباب مادية، وأسرية، وسياسية، وأخرى تتعلق بنظرة المجتمع. وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة رفع الوعي بحقوق الطفل من خلال حملات الضغط والمناصرة، وتوعية الأهل بأهمية التعليم وخطورة العمل في سن مبكر، ودعم برامج تمكينية للشباب في مدينة القدس، إلى جانب الاهتمام بالتعليم والتدريب المهني والتقني والتأهيل، وتكثيف دور الإعلام لمكافحة عمالة الأطفال. Abstract: The study aimed to identify the phenomenon of child labor in the city of Jerusalem, and the main reasons that drive children to work at an early age, as well as to identify the most factors that predict child labor, according to variables: gender, and place of residence.The study was conducted on a sample of 189 school staff, 114 guardians and 461 children, randomly selected. The results indicated that the economic difficulties in Jerusalem, which are behind the occupation policies, are forcing hundreds of students to work and contribute to the family economy. It turns out that the most predictive factors of child labor are (the futility of education in future life). Using Factor analysis, child labor is divided into the following dimensions: reasons for the same student, reasons for school, reasons for the financial situation of students and their families, reasons for family status, reasons for political status, and community perception. The study recommended the need to raise awareness of children's rights through lobbying and advocacy campaigns, educating parents about the importance of education and the danger of working at an early age, in addition to supporting empowerment programs for youth in Jerusalem, in addition to attention to education, vocational and technical training and rehabilitation, and intensifying the role of media and social media to combat Child labor.
