Abstract

These different perceptions of the world compel Man to ask questions about his nature and about his position in it. Yet we cannot always find answers to all our questions. Thus life itself is a question that Pinter seeks to answer through his plays. In any given period a writer needs to write to relieve—either himself or the reader—from the different types of pressure: emotional, social, or political.
