الملخص
ملخص البحث تتقادم أعمار الأمم ويصبح حاضرها ومستقبلها بابا من أبواب الذكريات وكل أمة حالها بين سيرتين إما سيرة منسية أو سيرة باقية ولا تبقى السيرة إلا بحفظ تراثها وبقاء شيء من تاريخها يدل على ما كان منها في الأزمان الغابرة والأمة العربية حالها باق ببقاء تراثها ولحسن الحظ أن تراث الأمة العربية بقيامنه جزء محفوظا من الضياع و أحد عوامل حفظه هو وجود الفهارس التي تبوب و تصنف وتيسر الإطلاع على تفاصيل هذا التراث وقد كان لفهارس المخطوطات تاريخ طويل فيما بين النشأة والتطور وتعددت أنواع الفهارس باختلاف الغرض المقصود من كل نوع وهاجرت المجموعات الخطية تحت ظروف عديدة وتفرقت على مساحة شاسعة من الكرة الأرضية وفقا لظروف عديدة وتباينت أعداد المجموعات الخطية تباينا ملحوظا لأسباب مختلفة، والوقوف على تاريخ الفهارس وفوائد أنواعها المختلفة وأسباب توزع كثافتها من دولة لأخرى هو موضوع هذا البحث. Abstract Nations are ageing, their present and future become a door of memories, and each nation is in between two biographies, either a forgotten biography or a remaining biography The biography remains only by preserving its heritage and the survival of something of its history that indicates what was from it in ancient times The Arab Nation preserved its heritage, and fortunately the heritage of the Arab Nation remained a part of it, and one of the factors of its preservation is the presence of indexes that are classified and facilitate the access to the details of this heritage Manuscript catalogues had a long history between genesis and evolution, and the types of indexes varied according to the intended purpose of each type, the linear groups migrated under many circumstances and dispersed over a vast area of land according to many circumstances. The numbers of linear groups varied markedly for various reasons, and to determine the history of indexes and the benefits of their different types The reasons for the distribution of its density from state to state are the subject of this research
