الملخص
الملخص: لقد تزايدت معدلات تلوث البيئة خلال الربع الأخير من القرن الحالي كنتيجة للزيادة الكبيرة للتلوث، والتي من أهمها النفايات السامة، وخصوصا النفايات النووية، حيث تشكل هاجسا يؤرق الكثير من الدول والمنظمات التي تدعو إلى ضرورة الحفاظ على أمن البيئة. ولعل أكثر ما يؤلم بخصوص هذا الموضوع هو كيفية التخلص من النفايات النووية بطرق غير سليمة بيئيا، كطمرها في مجاري المياه، أو إلقائها في البلدان النامية الفقيرة، كي يتم دفنها في أراضيها مقابل مساعدات مالية. وبالتالي تشكل هذه النفايات تهديدا لمياه البحار وكائناتها، وللمياه الجوفية، إضافة إلى بقاء إشعاعاتها النووية لمدة طويلة. وكنتيجة لذلك، كثرت المشكلات البيئية بشكل بات يهدد مسيرة التنمية الاقتصادية، بل ويهدد حياة سكان الكرة الأرضية الذين يتزايد عددهم باطراد، وهذا من شأنه الإخلال بالتوازن البيئي الذي هو ضرورة لدعم الحياة البشرية، إذ أن الحفاظ على التنوع الحيوي ضرورة لتوفير بيئة متوازنة متكاملة. الكلمات المفتاحية: النفايات السامة، الإشعاعات النووية، التنوع الحيوي Abstract: The average of environment pollution has increased significantly during the current quarter century, as a result of the increasing rate of pollution, the most widespread of which is toxic pollution, especially nuclear waste represents an issue for many countries and organizations that are underlining the necessity of preserving the environment. Probably the thing that hurts the most about this subject is the inappropriate methods that are used to get rid of nuclear waste, such as burying it in watercourses or throwing it on poor developing countries’ land to be buried in return for financial aid. Therefore, this waste represents a threat for the oceans and its wildlife, as well as underground water because of the nuclear radiations that will remain for a long period of time. As a result to that, the frequent environmental problems that are threatening both the economic development and the life of earth inhabitants whose number is constantly increasing will cause an environmental imbalance considered as an important element in human life, for these reason, the conservation of biodiversity is necessity in order to keep a well-balanced and integrated environment.
