Abstract: The position of associates of Islam in the subject of understanding the actions of Allah the Almighty and those of His creations has differed into two extremes and a middle: - Qadaria (related to Qadar, which refers to Allah’s will in his creation) and those who their school of thought chose that Allah the Almighty has deeds but they do not stem directly from Him. Rather, they said that the deed signifies the effect. On the other hand, Qadaria chose that the actions of the servants of Allah are their own and are created by them. Their reasoning is that Kufr (disbelief), Fusooq (Great sins), and Ma’siyah (Sins) are bad deeds that cannot be associated directly with Allah the Almighty, and that the wisdom behind Allah’s actions can only benefit the creation. - At the other extreme, Jahmiyah (followers of Jahm ibn Safwan) along with Sufis and other sects say that every act in existence is the work of the Lord Almighty, and that the slave does not act in reality, but is forced to his actions, such as a feather in the wind. To them, no difference exists between obedience and sin as they both are the result of the will and ability of Allah the Almighty. - Asha’irah (followers of Abu Al-Hassan Al-Ash’ary) chose that the deeds of the creation are all by the ability of Allah and created by Him. They argued that deeds are attained by the creation and that their ability has no effect in the existence of the deed but rather coincides with it. They denied that the actions of Allah the Almighty stem from His wisdom and chose that they are solely the result of His sheer will. - Maturidiyah (followers of Mansoor Al-Maturidy) chose that Allah the Almighty is solely capable of creation and invention and that it all goes back to formation. They said that the deeds of the creation are created by Allah and attained by them and that Allah gave them the ability to attain their actions by creating the influential ability in the existence of the deed in them. In their reasoning, the servant of Allah is capable of the deeds because Allah the almighty gave him the ability. - The followers of Islamic philosophy stripped Allah the Almighty of all will and chose that He does not have choice in His actions. They said that Allah is self-forced. The reasoning behind their explanation is that to them the creator of the world is a complete positive reason implying its result, which may not be be delayed.
