Compétence Interculturelle Dans L’enseignement Des Langues étrangères : Enjeux Et Perspectives

Résumé

The present article attempts to discuss both the importance of and perspectives for the integration of intercultural education in foreign languages departments in Algerian universities. It contends that the module of ‘oral comprehension and expression’ constitutes an excellent way to develop students’ intercultural competence. In doing so, it proposes the development of syllabi that revolve around three major axes: culture, the human as a cultural product, and critical thinking.
