الملخص: يهتم المقال بدراسة عتبة العنوان في رواية :"زنقة الركابة" للروائي محمد سعادي من خلال دراسة تعكف على تحسس القرائن السيميائية في حمولة العنوان وما تتضمنه من مؤشرات وعلامات تفتح للقارئ مجال التوغل إلى مكنون المتن الذي يحمل في جوهره حد الاستعارة والترميز لخطاب أدبي وجمالي ، ويتصف العنوان في الرواية بأنه ثنائي البنية التي تصور لنا مشهدا مكانيا يتميز بالضيق والاتساع والمتمثل في "السوق" الذي يحيل إلى التاريخ وأصالة الشعب وانتمائه وتشبثه بالمكان، المصدر الوحيد لحياته ورزقه وجني قوت يومه، هذا المكان الذي تقرر الدولة إزالته هذا القرار الذي يشكل هاجسا ومخاوف لميسوري الحال والشباب البطال حيث أصبح مستقبلهم مهدد وحياة أسرهم وذويهم في خطر.
